Hyderabad Cookies

Method
  1. Mix flour with soda.
  2. Beat butter and sugar well.
  3. Add flour, essence and Tuti Fruiti.
  4. If the mixture is stiff add a little beaten egg or clotted cream.
  5. Pat the mixture to ¼ " thickness. Cut into squares.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven till done.
  7. Cool and store in an air tight container.
Ingredients:
Plain flour - 1 cup
Soda - ¼ tsp
Butter - 1/3 cup
Powdered sugar - 1/3 cup
Rose essence - ¼ tsp
Tuti fruiti - 1 tbsp
Little beaten egg or clotted cream (malai) if needed
